    What is "Cash for keys?"
Cash for keys is when the seller or occupier of the property can't afford to move or pay rent. The owner of the property, or buyer, pays the occupier of the property some money to help them move out. You may not be able to get any money out of the sale of the property because you owe the bank too much. You could still get a little money when you move out.
